Brighton erupted into a frenzy of activities last Saturday night to celebrate the end of the Summer (did it ever begin?) and the clocks going back. Well, that is a whole extra hour of partying, right?

Some of the city’s best-loved venues stayed open into the early hours of Sunday for us Brightonians to enjoy our already vibrant city in an alternative way. The Jubilee library’s silence was shattered with live music, cyclists rode off for an illuminated treasure hunt, the King’s music room in the Brighton Pavilion was filled with sounds from the Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra, landmarks were illuminated with short films and animations and the local swimming pool had music and sounds played through underwater speakers for midnight swimmers.

Walks, talks, dances and displays across the city ensured that nobody got an early night!
