We are very pleased to have been chosen by the International Capital Market Association (ICMA), for the third year running, to provide branded collateral for their 2009 AGM Conference in Montreux, Switzerland.

ICMA’s brief asked for a fresh, modern take, a slighty urban approach and consideration of the venue’s proximity to water, the landscape and the connection with the 42nd Montreux Jazz Festival.

Our concepts included an illustrative route that took visual cues from the classic Blue Note record covers, a bold and colourful ‘Montreux 09’ logotype made from opaque geometric shapes and also a watercolour and ink route, created by our budding fine artist designer Fran Villani. This concept featured abstract musical instruments and musicians to reflect the location of the AGM in 2009.

A few weeks after presenting our concepts to the ICMA events team, we received the great news that VGroup had come out on top against 3 other London agencies, with ICMA favouring the geometric shapes of the ‘Montreux 09’ logotype concept as the winning solution.

The roll out is now in progress with over 15 items of collateral required, including Sponsorship Brochures, Exhibition & Conference Programmes, pull up exhibition banners, email templates and web banners.

The VGroup Interactive team will be updating the design to the ICMA Online Meeting Planner commissioned for last year’s AGM, after the success of last year’s trial. The Meeting Planner enables delegates attending the event to arrange a meeting with other delegates at a time of their choice, connecting industry professionals internationally, and helping delegates to get the most out of the congregation of like-minded professionals.
