Letterpress printing has been around for centuries, but nearly died out in Britain, but it is seeing a bit of a renaissance due to its unique tactile qualities. I spotted this rather delightful documentary about letterpress and one of the few remaining movable-type printing workshops in the UK, situated at Plymouth University.

We love a bit of letterpress at VGroup, and this stunning short film by Danny Cooke is probably the second best way of getting the idea of what makes Letterpress so special and sought-after, obviously after actually seeing and handling a good print.
