Following on from the creation of the new Totallyplant.com branding, VGroup quickly set about designing and building their new website, which we are very excited to announce is now live.
The new site requires a high level of functionality including the ability for customers to login and manage their accounts; including an archive of certificates for their machinery, creation of adverts with video content, a facility for customers to import their ads that are already live on a another specialist plant website, a shopping system, forms and also the ability for Totally Plant to update and edit customer accounts, create special discount offers …to mention just some of the features! Naturally the site is also fully SEO optimised.
The bespoke CMS is flexible enough to incorporate all of the features they require, and is future proofed to allow for expansion with the addition of products and services which are being added rapidly. It also allows for easy website management and has streamlined their internal admin processes.
The website has brought all their services together in a cohesive way. Enhanced classified ads will drive traffic to their site, clear design and definition of services allows the opportunity to cross sell the products.
The site is designed to enable people to post clear and attractive classified ads for plant machinery and parts, which will increase traffic to the site. The site promotes Totallyplant’s other services – currently certification, repair and new parts distribution – and is central to their marketing strategy.
We designed a tabbed navigation system to help promote other areas of the site and we make use of webfonts to create distinctive, punchy headings. Body copy is large and legible, adding to the site’s clear delivery of information. Attention has been paid to the design of custom icons, buttons and form elements creating a cohesive and pleasing browsing experience.
Logging into the site using the nifty login bar shows the depth of the site, with a large amount of functionality built in, allowing users to manage their accounts, create adverts, pay per ad or by subscription and even automatically generate ads using a data feed. Users can also manage their plant certificates, receiving reminders of lapsing certificates prompting the to book a certification visit by totallyplant.com and allowing to easily book repairs.
