Adams & Remers (A&R) is a well established, traditional firm of solicitors in the South East. Last year VGroup was appointed to refresh their brand and improve their visual identity and marketing communications.
A&R have gained an enviable reputation as one of the top private client firms in the South East. Services to businesses, institutions and charities as well as emerging specialist services such as Employment Law brought about a review of their branding and marketing communications.
The new visual identity needed to reflect the quality of their people, support the launch of new services and strengthen their profile across the South East and London. Their brief also included the need to raise awareness of their involvement in supporting the community, in particular within health, arts and heritage.
Although their brief was to retain their existing logo, we devised a way of extending the current style to incorporate blocks of colour into which the existing logo would be placed. Corresponding, transparent black blocks positioned next to this would then hold complimentary text. A classic corporate typeface for copy and a new colour palette was presented along with a more prominent use of ‘A&R’. Their evolved visual identity will be implemented across advertising, literature, events and eventually digital media.
So far, A&R’s new collateral have been a stylish A4 brochure and folder with capacity pocket to hold brochure and information sheets. They have been formed as relevant and ever tangible physical items to give an instant tactile impact. We wanted A&R’s brochure to make a permanent and personal impression, in a style that you easily can imagine on a coffee table or in a reception area. The design resulted in a relatively complex printing process with solid black covers, non-scratch lamination and spot UV gloss varnish. It’s a statement about values, which the quality of design and printing reflects.
We’re noticing a trend that B2B businesses are realising more and more that clients appreciate good quality printed collateral. Good quality communicates value of business, and improves perceptions and brand awareness. Good quality is not the same as being extravagant – it’s strong messaging without being indulgent. It also provides help as a sales aid, since it becomes a gift or something that you pass on rather then an instant throw away. We also believe it pays off to go that extra mile with quality being the hallmark of confidence and longevity.
